The artist explores the nature of matter by adding volume to the paint. Christophe Chaons creates stylized craters using sugar as a textured cement. These planetary landscapes, born from a dreamlike cosmos, each bear a name linked to chemical elements, thus playing with science to better guide it towards abstraction.
