With Prisms, Christophe Chaons explores geometry and linear repetition. Pyramidal forms combine to create a relief, with the underlying structure emerging from the background. The white canvas is replaced by a black background, lending a sense of depth to the whole. The support is intended as a mirror to the artist's visions, which he uses with the aim of conveying them. The black is adorned with light, transcending the somber themes with balance. Christophe Chaons explores the ambivalence of the moon and the sun, and the vital need for their opposing energies. Over time, the artist has developed a growing interest in psychoanalysis, particularly the writings of Jung. Intrigued by understanding the workings of the human psyche, the artist translates his questions into his artistic work, transforming his darkest inquiries into artistic expression through sublimation.
