This unique work by Christophe Chaons is created using mixed media, a true intermediary between paint dripping and the texture of sugar. The melted colored sugar is tinted with watercolor ink, giving the piece a grainy texture. With Splash, the artist explores decay and the notion of ephemeral art, through the fragility of sugar in its temporal preservation.
